We can store your Hard Currency picked up by Brink’s at your Canadian Bank in either Toronto or Vancouver. Rules apply, a $10,000 minimum pick-up, please see FAQ page for more information. We understand the macro/micro economics and geo–political advantages to holding some actual Hard Currency out of the system to protect your wealth. Currency will be sealed in a bag at your Bank or approved Foreign Currency exchange dealer in an amount equal to the ordered placed in advance by Customer. Brink’s will be responsible to pick up the sealed bag and place it in a Safe Deposit Box solely dedicated to the Customer. Brink’s cannot and will not open that bag, or allow anyone to open a portion of that bag. The entire bag must be either picked up in person, or coordinated with Brink’s through Miles Franklin to re-deposit the funds in the customers account. Customers cannot deposit cash, or bring their own Currency to Brink’s due to Canadian banking laws. All Currency must originate from a Bank or approved Foreign Currency exchange dealer for pick up. There is an $85 fee to have Brink’s pick up or drop off Currency at a Bank.
Currency Storage Rates:
Canadian Dollar Storage Rates:
The storage rate is calculated by basis points per year based on the value of the cash stored.
$10,000 – $49,999 the storage rate shall be 120 basis points / $10.00 per month per $10,000
$50,000 – $99,999 the storage rate shall be 100 basis points / $8.33 per month per $10,000
$100,000 – $249,999 the storage rate shall be 75 basis points / $6.25 per month per $10,000
$250,000 – $499,999 the storage rate shall be 64 basis points / $5.33 per month per $10,000
$500,000 or more the storage rate shall be 54 basis points / $4.50 per month per $10,000
U.S Dollar Storage Rates:
The storage rate is calculated by basis points per year based on the value of the cash stored.
$10,000 – $49,999 the storage rate shall be 150 basis points / $12.50 per month per $10,000
$50,000 – $99,999 the storage rate shall be 125 basis points / $10.41 per month per $10,000
$100,000 – $249,999 the storage rate shall be 94 basis points / $7.83 per month per $10,000
$250,000 – $249,999 the storage rate shall be 82 basis points / $6.50 per month per $10,000
$500,000 or more the storage rate shall be 70 basis points / $5.83 per month per $10,000
Swiss Franc Storage Rates:
The storage rate is calculated by basis points per year based on the value of the cash stored.
$10,000 – $49,999 the storage rate shall be 150 basis points / $12.50 per month per $10,000
